Our Beginning

It started in 1960. S.M.A. Azeez Brothers (Pvt) Ltd. was established as a food wholesaler, quietly becoming one of Sri Lanka's most trusted suppliers of fresh, dry, and frozen products to the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Department of Prisons. A legacy built on reliability, precision, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Since 2016

Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

In 2016, the next generation stepped forward. Abdul Azeez Brothers (Pvt) Ltd. (AAB) was established with a singular ambition: to develop and grow a world-class F&B portfolio across Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and the Middle East. The family's DNA of discipline and quality — now channelled into building brands that matter.

Expanding Market Presence

PastaManiaIsland Wraps

Today, AAB holds the Master Franchise rights for two internationally acclaimed brands. PastaMania and Galito's — alongside its own proudly homegrown concept, Island Wraps Ceylon. With active operations in Colombo and Hulhumale (Maldives), and Middle East expansion underway in 2027, AAB is writing its most ambitious chapter yet.

The Force Behind It All

Mr. Mohamed Hilme — Founder & Managing Director
Mr. Mohamed Hilme

Mohamed Hilme is the second generation of the Azeez family and the architect of AAB's vision. Educated in the UK and further trained at Harvard and Oxford, Hilme brings a rare combination: global perspective forged through world-class academic exposure, and the sharp instincts of someone who has built real businesses from the ground up.

In 2018, he introduced PastaMania to Sri Lanka becoming one of the brand's earliest regional franchise partners. Operations expanded into the Maldives, with the Saudi Arabian market currently in progress. In 2019, he founded Island Wraps, a bold, homegrown quick-service concept that began as a Mediterranean-inspired brand and has since been reimagined as Island Wraps Ceylon: a brand built to take Sri Lanka's extraordinary food culture to the world.

Most recently, Hilme secured the Master Franchise Agreement for Galito's, one of South Africa's most celebrated fast-casual exports, bringing its signature flame-grilled chicken and fiery peri-peri sauces to the Sri Lankan nd Maldives shores.

A family legacy, built on ambition, authenticity, and boldness. The story is still being written.
